Privacy Policy

Last updated: pending launch · Draft — pending legal review

A plain-language working draft, not the final policy, and not legal advice. The official policy — including the French-language version for players in Quebec — will be reviewed by counsel and posted before launch. Our intent is privacy-first: collect as little as possible.

The short version

We collect the minimum needed to run a fair, local, live game: a phone number (stored only as a hash), a rough sense of your city, and how you played. We don’t sell your data. Sponsors get crowd-level numbers, never your personal information.

What we collect

Why we collect it

To run the game, place you in your local show, confirm you’re eligible, keep play fair, deliver prizes to winners, and meet our legal obligations (for example, an append-only record that you accepted the terms and attested to your age).

What we don’t do

We don’t sell your personal information. Sponsors and partners receive only aggregate, non-identifying information (“how many people played in this city”), never your number, name, or precise location.

Who processes data for us

We use a small set of service providers to operate — for example, Cloudflare (hosting and security) and a messaging provider (Twilio) for phone verification. They process data on our behalf under their own safeguards.

Text messages (SMS)

When you enter your phone number to play, we text you a one-time login code, plus occasional game and account notifications (such as a show reminder, a result, or a prompt to claim a prize). That is the full extent of our texting — we send no marketing texts. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help at any time. Full detail, including message frequency and keywords, is in our SMS / Text Messaging Policy.

Mobile information and text messaging: no mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Phone numbers and text message (SMS) opt-in data and consent are used solely to deliver the messages described in our SMS / Text Messaging Policy; they are never sold, rented, or shared.

How long we keep it

We keep things only as long as needed. Some records — like the legal record of terms acceptance and age attestation — are retained as required. Where practical we keep identifiers in hashed or minimized form.

Younger players

Accounts are for players 16 and older. We design the game so minors can co-play on a household screen without us collecting their personal information as account holders.

Your choices & rights

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account and associated personal data, subject to records we must keep by law. Contact us and we’ll help.

Security

We hash your phone number, minimize what we store, and separate game data from identity. No system is perfectly secure, but privacy-first is a design rule, not an afterthought.

Quebec & French

For players in Quebec, a French-language version of this policy will be provided, and French-speaking players are served in French.
